About the Program

Founded in 2004, PBSC UVic has grown quickly to become part of almost one-third of the student body’s legal education. PBSC UVic operates based on the philosophy that the pro bono ethic begins with the law student. Our main goals are to:

• promote the public good as a core value for legal professionals;
• assist organizations in their work with communities in need; and
• provide students with meaningful, practical experience in public interest law

PBSC UVic is generously funded by the Law Foundation of British Columbia and their law school.
